  SB4 Updates

  As of 03/08/2024, the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas initially granted a preliminary injunction, blocking Texas Senate Bill 4 (88-4).

  However, the Texas Supreme Court stayed this injunction. Despite this, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals recently overturned the stay.

  Currently, the Supreme Court is deliberating on whether SB4 will go into effect as planned on March 13, 2024.

  Stay tuned for further updates. As we await further news, please remember the following tips:

  • Avoid answering questions about how you entered Texas.

  • Refrain from showing any documentation indicating entry without inspection.

  • You have the right to remain silent and ask for an attorney

  A partir del 03/08/2024, el Tribunal de Distrito de los Estados Unidos para el Oeste de Texas otorgó inicialmente una orden judicial preliminar, bloqueando el Proyecto de Ley del Senado de Texas 4 (88-4).

  
  Sin embargo, la Corte Suprema de Texas suspendió esta orden judicial. A pesar de esto, el Tribunal de Apelaciones del Quinto Circuito recientemente anuló la suspensión.

  Actualmente, la Corte Suprema está deliberando sobre si la SB4 entrará en vigencia según lo planeado el 13 de marzo de 2024.
