  Special Immigrant Juvenile Visa

  Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) Visa is available to vulnerable immigrant children under 21 who have faced abuse, abandonment, or neglect by one or both parents. If your petition for SIJ classification is approved, you may apply for your green card and obtain residency. 

   

  This process requires a combination of procedures with the state family court and USCIS. Here is an overview of the process:

  I) File custody petition in the state family court

  II) Obtain Family Court Order 

  III) File Form I-360 with USCIS

  IV) Apply for Green Card when visa is available
